Table For Two

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, my mind has been more on the subject of {L.O.V.E} than usual.  How is this possible?!  I always have the L-word on the brain anyway, but this is actually one of my favorite holidays.  I know, I know, it’s cliche and corny and all the singles HATE it.  But to me, there is nothing better than a day dedicated to chocolate, oh, and the love of your life 🙂

I was searching through Valentine’s Day pins the other day when I scrolled past the picture above.  I was just recently talking to a bride about “Sweetheart Tables” and thought what a coincidence.  The idea of a special table for the Bride and Groom has been around in some form or another for a long time, but the trend BLEW UP after photos of Lauren Conrad’s wedding surfaced.  If you remember, she used a loveseat in the place of the more traditional chairs and it soon became THE set-up.  Below are a few of my favorites for you to use as inspiration!

Instead of a Mr. and Mrs. sign, adorn your chairs with blooms to set them apart from the rest of the seating.
Rustic simplicity at it’s best!
Give your table a customized backdrop for great photographs!

Whether you decide to use one or not, you can see that they make for beautiful photo opportunities and you can decorate as little or as much as you want, depending on your theme.  Reasons why I’m PRO sweetheart table…

  1. It’s a great place for you to stash your things, especially if you don’t have an extra room, like a bridal suite/groom’s den.
  2. It’s much easier to sit and let guests come to you than it is the other way around.  You’ll get a chance to speak to alot more well wishers this way, than if you and your new hubby try to make your way to all the guests.
  3. It gives you a space all to yourself for your first moments together as husband and wife.  Gossip about a crazy relative’s dance moves, say I love you, or pose for pictures, whatever you do, you have a quiet space to yourselves amidst the chaos.
